I doubt you will get an answer here. You will need to call Activision support. Post what country you are in and I will try to find a local number for you (although most of them have been shut down).
Activision will not comment on "when" it will be fixed, only that they are aware of it and are working on it. My bet is that they are not going to fix it. This issue has been going on for far too long now and if they were really working on fixing it, it would be fixed. If their developers are really this bad that they can't find the problem and fix it after years, then hopefully they have been fired.
Sorry but the game is dead. It was discontinued on November 1, 2017. Activision is not fixing any problems. R.I.P. Lost Islands.
