It started out when Infinity Ward announced that Quickscoping would be removed. And don't get me wrong here, they literally said these words: "Quickscoping... has been removed from Call of Duty: Ghosts." This is meaning they literally said that. As in most people think they said they made it harder to do, they actually said it's removed!!! In removed, means in the Call of Duty world, means players are prohibited from doing this action. Now, as players are prohibited from doing this action, it is still physically possible to quickscope. Meaning that if players do any quickscoping of any kind, it is labeled as "cheating." It's just like saying that people have the ability to post things on Youtube that disobey the Terms of Service and that "Innapropriate things have been removed from Youtube." Same thing goes with quickscoping in Call of Duty. If it was removed and players find a way to get their hands on something that was removed from Public Matches, it is considered cheating. And don't think I'm being a baby because I can't quickscope, because I actually can. I've tried before in Ghosts, it's alot easier. But I decided not to do it because I knew it was cheating. Cheating as in "The report function." Report as in saying players have the right to report quickscopers for quickscoping in CoD: Ghosts. All the FaZe and OpTc fanboys on here ('cause don't get me wrong, we all know OpTc and FaZe only play Xbox) will probably go away. I will probably post something later on explaining how quickscoping is Overpowered, but for now this is how quickscoping is cheating.
Too funny. I agree its alive and well but cheating? Come on.
Looking at that link and then reading this post leads me to conclude that you lost and the other team cheated with their sniper rifles?
I'm no fan of it, but saying that it is cheating is taking it a bit far. Adding "/hacking" to your tags regarding quickscoping is...yeah....
I didn't add hacking to it, the hacking just came with the cheating tag and i couldn't remove it. It is not hacking, but it is well cheating considering Infinity Ward removed it. Removed it in being "Can't be used by players." If they remove something and players find a way to do that it is technically cheating. And why does your thing say UsD vs RTL or something
Not sure what happened to being able to edit the tags. Maybe a forum glitch or something.
The title of the above link clearly says "Quickscoping will NOT be in Call of Duty: Ghosts" but read what Mark Rubin said here:
"However in re-envisioning sniper rifles some aspects, such as sway timing, have changed the way sniper rifles function and so traditional “quick-scoping” has been affected. Is it gone completely? Maybe. It certainly won’t be viable in the way it previously was"
It doesn't sound as though they have made a great effort to remove it. Instead, he said that it won't be viable in the way it previously was. This leaves it open to players finding other methods of doing it.
I'm no fan of it myself but I wouldn't exactly call it cheating. I wish that they would remove it entirely but I can't ever see it happening. I also highly doubt that they will act on a player being reported for cheating because of it.
The "UsD vs RTL" is a link to another thread on this forum.
Was it because of my username? Yeah, I'm in that clan, too. UsDxTwisToR.
The "UsD" in your name was a bit of a giveaway, yes lol
I do agree that it is technically cheating because those players are exploiting the game to gain an unfair advantage over others. That being said, its also IW's fault because they need to make it impossible for the game, just like the wii mote.
