Fortnite servers are down for maintenance, as Epic Games introduces update 6.22.
The Epic Games server status doesn't make for good reading right now, as Fortnite goes offline from 9am UK time.
The new Fortnite Battle Royale patch is being introduced as part of the release of update 6.22.
The update was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside confirmation that the game would be taken offline.
"Fall into the v6.22 update, available tomorrow!"reads an Epic tweet. "Downtime begins Tuesday, November 6 at 4 am ET."
There's no word on when the servers will be back online, but Fortnite outages typically don't tend to last for more than a few hours.
You can expect the game to return by 11am at the latest. Epic Games will release patch notes during the downtime.
*Fortnite update 6.22 PATCH NOTES: Heavy Assault Rifle, Team Terror, NFL Skins*
Speaking of patch notes, in-game news notifications have confirmed plans to release the Heavy Assault Rifle.
The Heavy AR is said to be ideal for short bursts of action, according to Epic Games.
"Powerful Assault Rifle that is most useful when fired in short bursts," reads the official description.
The Epic Games Trello board also reveals some of the issues being investigated by the studio.
Epic Games is investigating an issue with crosshairs being blocked for certain outfits while aiming.
Elsewhere, Player models in Replays are sometimes getting stuck with Shadow Stone effects. There's also a problem with music for certain emotes not playing.
But the main problem appears to be associated with the recently released update 6.21 patch.
Epic is said to be investigating performance issues that appeared after the release of update 6.21.
Mobile versions of Fortnite are also having problems, as players struggle to login.
Jerky camera movement is said to be fixed in the next release, alongside graphical problems with crooked balloons.
