Cheaters on leaderboards (please remove them)

Crash Bandicoot™ Forum | Activision®

Been playing the tiger running maps on crash bandicoot 3 warped with a friend, we've both managed to hit top1-5 on both maps "Orient Express & Midnight Run".

However few days ago there are now at least 3 cheaters on the leaderboards abusing 3rd party programs to cheat the times.

https://www.crashbandicoot.com/leaderboards

If you check for Steam -> Crash 3 Warped -> Orient Express

There are at least 3 cheaters:

SemiEvil 00:01.26

†Gadeon†[WarpFire] 00:04.43

Michaeli 00:05.53

And on Steam -> Crash 3 Warped -> Midnight Run

†Gadeon†[WarpFire] 00:02.21 (same cheater as on Orient Express)

Hope you will remove these players as those times are not obtainable without 3rd party programs or massive abuse.

As one of the members of the top 10, I also request that these cheaters are removed and blocked from accessing the leaderboards.

Hey, with Steam, nothing can be done, Steam allows that kind of abuse in there games under contract with anyone follish enough to sell their games on steam instead of using a Compact Disk install, direct digital distribution, or Browser based gaming experience.

Don't forget up to 6 player wireless LAN mode on CTR for Switch 2p per console. And cross-platform online play between Nintendo Switch and Xbox One when playing with friends.

Everyone, just ignore DrBandicoot. Guy has no idea what he's talking about... Rather than blaming it on Steam, put the blame at Activision and the developers that are actually responsible for it. Steams policy is that it's up to the developers/publishers to set the rules, and they help enforce the rules IF the developer/publisher uses the tools Steam provides, but the responsibility to do something about it lies with the developer/publisher. Same as every other platform, really.

DrBandicoot, I get that you hate Steam, but stop spreading lies to make it look bad. The developers/publishers that use Steam have the same responsibilities they do for any other platform, but more freedom. Steam does NOT force developers to use Steams APIs and protocols, unlike every console out there. The developers can choose to use it, but the choice is theirs. Steam does NOT force developers to allow cheating in their games. Steam actually discourages cheating, and they support developers in finding solutions to prevent cheating. Steam does NOT prevent the developers from implementing anti-cheat, nor does it prevent them from banning cheaters. Steam even provides a free anti-cheat to any developer that wants to use it, and it has a very high catch rate. It's even possible to use Steams API to check if someone was banned for cheating in ANY game on Steam, and prevent them from participating in the online segment of a game if the developers choose to do so.

Now, if you are "follish" enough to continue spreading lies, then I suggest you find a better hobby. Steam offers a lot more help and freedom to developers and publishers than any of the consoles do, even on the Switch which you seem to praise so much. Steam isn't perfect either, but that does not mean you need to spread lies about it.
