MW3 Take Me Back. I Love You

Black Ops 2 is not as good as MW3.  Treyarch was handed a layup, after the lag, spawn, deathstreak, support streak, OP gun fest that was MW3.  And somehow, they made the lag worse and the spawns worse.

I enjoyed MW3, but just got fed up with the BS like deathstreaks.  But at it's core, it was a great game with way more variety.  Support, Specialist, or Assault, Real Domination (not this round-based Dom), streak loadouts for each class, and less camping spots.  Yemen on BLOPS 2 made me appreciate IW's map design.  Cluttered and filled with explosions, but no maps with 29 windows overlooking the B flag.

Every gun fires super fast, yet on 75% of the guns they hip fire about as well as the best hip firing gun in MW3 (pp90 or PM9).  Somehow someway, sniping is easier in BO2 than MW3.  almost no flinch when you shoot a sniper, and silenced sniper rifles are more consistent kills than in MW3.

I'm glad I didn't break you MW3 disc.  Take me back.  I Love you.

The weapons in BO2 do appear to be overly awesome but I like a lot of it.  Hoping that DLC has some larger maps though.  The fact they've tried to get rid of people not playing the objective was a major plus for me.

I have no issue with suppressed snipers still being 1HK but may be a sacrifice in something else, like extended magazines or something.  And I'm glad it's not such a grind to level up weapons any longer.  Doing the snipers in MW3 was painful, although the best proficiency was 2 Attachments since Stability only reduces idle sway by 25%.  The maps in MW3 don't promote traditional sniper usage much, which is why quickscoping is as prevalent as it is.

I prefer the maps in COD4 and BO1 to MW3 though.

I do think BLOPS 2 is the best COD ever to prestige in.  The fact when I get back to my gun I have all the attachments I unlocked previously.  Also the fact there's no pro perks to earn.  Of course, I felt it a 100% necessity to carry Ghost over with my permanent unlock.

I think the guns are fairly even, so the only thing I am currently missing is Scavenger which i will carry over on the next prestige.  I really like sticking with my own gun.

I'm only level 19 (I think) so far and just came off as everyone in my party dropped out.  It appears lag compensation affects different people in different ways/amounts.  When I played it on the day of the release I couldn't get a shot away and it appeared that the whole enemy team were on speed.  I was a little tired so got a few hours sleep, came back and was doing well.  I've experienced the same in MW3 and it appears using a phone line reduces the chances of behind behind too much than on cable both for BO2 and MW3.

I really would like matchmaking to be country locked, or have that option.  Some of my bullets go a little wayward against French players.  I was tempted to get Halo 4 but there are only so many hours in the day so I'll see how it goes.  And I might get Crysis 3 when that comes out.

I am so shocked I agree with that.  BLOPS 2 had so much promise, and I haven't yet given up on it.  What's really killing it for me, is the connection.  Lag comp worse than MW3.

At first i thought the lag was ok. It started showing its bad side in the last night or so. but Blops 2 is broken right down to the core gameplay. The MW series had struck the right balance in terms of damage rates and fast game play. It looks like treyarch took the IW formula for fast game play and cranked it up x10. This was the difference between the franchises. Where IW had a faster type game and treyarch had a more subdued style. Now it seems they want this style. I will be coming back to mw 3 as soon as my friends get tired of Blops 2.

I find it funny that both games now lag bad.

Have you tried changing your NAT type to Moderate?  I don't understand why there isn't a country lock option available.  If enough people play the game then it's more viable, so, matchmaking players with faster ping times will mean less lag usually.

I suspect a few gamers have been using lag switches as some games the lag is not symmetric and coincides with players on my team dropping out and a huge swing in score.

I was looking forward to blops 2, all it seems is like everything i tried to forget about mw2, knife lunge, quick scoping, now made even easier,Killstreaks in abundance, once i have done what i can  think i will finish back on MW3 ,for all my gripes about this game i can honestly say i enjoyed playing it more than i am now with blops 2,
