Quickscoping Question

errr... what?

I've been using the hip fire crosshairs and screen centering for years... There's nothing wrong with scoping in all the way but it's not quickscoping. We don't rely on 'lag' to make it look like a QS... We rely on QSing to make it look like a QS... With hip fire crosshairs and screen centering, shots are almost always consistent...

*facepalm* apart from screen centering you really don't know what you're talking about. Anyway have fun going 3-20 every game with your hipfires that you think are quickscopes... idiot.

Only a jackass would try to QS every single shot... Have you ever even watched PVR play (not theater mode) QSing? You don't use the scope...

Lets be real here now. The best snipers are mobile mixed snipers. They'll do a little bit of hard scoping, drag scoping, and QSing mixed together. QSing isn't always the most effective or necessary technique and you aren't going to see any decent sniper utilizing nothing but QS's.

Utilizing the hip fire crosshairs and screen centering is almost 100% consistent (not the case in BO1 because bullets went so random regardless of the hipfire crosshairs). Be honest though, if you scope all the way in its not a QS no matter how fast you think you're doing it. Camera/p2p lag has nothing to do with it...

1:54 is the first QS he even does in the video. Here were talking about one of the more popular snipers in CoD. He does a lot of hard scopes, drag scopes, etc. With a few QS's mixed in.

Watch from 0:47 to 1:54. This guy (darth nine) compares PVR recordings of his gameplay to what theatre mode showed, he also does a demonstration that not looking through your scope counts as a no scope

When you don't use the scope, it's called a no scope...

When you shoot after a flash of the crosshairs it a quick scope. Hence the name Quick scope...

When you pull up the scope, drag quickly to adjust and quickly fire it's a drag scope...

There is a reason why each has a specific name. The type of shot is literally defined in the name, and if you think otherwise, you're wrong.

Oh and you do NOT need to quickscope every shot, only quickscope in situations when you need to, like close range gunfights. Long range hard scopring is fine by me

It might be more helpful when you first start learning, but to be honest this would work well for any gun not just snipers.
