Is Treyarch going to address Server Lag by using dedicated Servers for BO2 on PS3?

Call of Duty Black Ops II Playstation 3

Is Treyarch going to address Server Lag by using dedicated Servers for BO2 on PS3?

LAG LAG LAG!!!! Server Lag is big problem in Multiplayer lobbies on the PS3 for BO2. Not to mention, LAG SWITCHERS, who are ruining the game. If you are not the host of the lobby, you automatically have a disadvantage against other players, before firing your weapon. C'mon Treyarch, you sold millions of copies of Black Ops 2 put some of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS MADE by sales into DEDICATED SERVERS for BO2. So, players can start out a game on a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD with less LAG.

No they wont.

Latency is a internet thing, most of the these MP video games suffer from it in one way or another. But this game will not change how it provides online services, future games? Who knows.

Yeah, i would have to agree, they most likely will not get dedicated servers. And honestly, there will still be some lag even with dedicated servers. Techs not perfect lol. Dedicated servers might help, but treyarch is not going to do something if they are going to lose out.

I use a Broadband ISP (Comcast) according to speed test 37 Mbps download and 6.36 Mbps upload. Also, I have PS3 wired, gaming ports open on router and firewalls disabled on router. What more can a person do to get rid of LAG.

MW2 didnt lag like this and doesnt BO2 pc have dedi servers? dont they still moan about this lag?

Ive seen so much BS in this game, very little of it comes down to lag. More like basic coding errors

Its not your system pancho, but the codes in the game that seek the best matches based on your quality connection. But one thing that many players do not admit (and you can say no) but who else is using your internet in your house? If you have multiple people connected to your network, and you are playing guess what that bogs down your packets.

Each players ignorance towards there connection is hard to determine, remember this with the internet and your service provider:

1- There is a peak hours of internet usage on a provider

2- Your actual connection, if you are using bad wires, or they are old, damaged that will negatively affect your gaming.

the host in BO2 has immediate disadventage and it's basicaly 1 sec behind the whole game.

That's why you see so many host migrations (unlike mw2).

Dedicated servers for BO2 -Nooooo. The game already brought its money.

D. servers for future COD titles-very doubtful, they did nothing after problems with MW3.

Their business idea seems to suck as much as they can, base on success of previous titles.

After the old Infinity Ward team (West, Zampella) left the company, failures of MW3 (sledgehammer) and BO2 (treyarch), I personaly don't see who is able to make fairly playable next COD... if anySmiley Sad
