Both of you give it a go and try it out, if it boosts low & high frequencies for me which I can hear a noticable difference in the audio, I'm sure it would also work way better for headset users especially when using Awareness & other perks like that
Thanks, I'll check that ut next time i'm on
Dude who are you talking to? Have you read the subject line of this post?
It's a BO2 setting. It makes footsteps ever so slightly louder by virtue of making everything louder to the point where your neighbors can hear the sound coming out of your headphones next door and you end up putting your ear doctors kids through college.
Regardless of what some people in the forums say (who clearly do not use sound to play this game) it does not come anywhere near putting enemy footsteps where they should be... It just kills your ears...
If you want it though it's in options > audio settings > presets
I do agree that you cannot make out who approaches by hear is an issue.
i use tritton ax pros. ninja and awareness works for me as long as i adjust the trittons properly.
I use tritton ax pros as well, what do you mean exactly by adjusting them properly?
For starters, make sure your ps3 is set to optical out. I believe multi out renders the headphones stereo.
Turn the sub on the pros all the way down. Start a split screen match between you and yourself, or a buddy. You be player one while player 2 runs around in front and behind you. Adjust your pros settings until it sounds better.
Same for me, i use the Tritton AX720's, i have no problem hearing footsteps, reloads, the 'beeps' from players using scorestreaks and a load of other stuff, and from what direction they're coming from, i don't even use Awareness. I'm using Supercrunch on the sound settings too.
I have turtle beach PX5's and they have been rendered useless. I have a pre-set on them which boosts the footsteps, I have super crunch enabled but still the only time I hear footsteps is as my team run off at the start of a game when there are no other sounds happening!
I wish that Treyarch had left the sound settings as they were in BO1
