Looking for solutions or explainations is fine, not liking the answers you get and then either insulting the person who replied or spitting the dummy is the point where I usually lose my helpful head abit especially as theres so much correct information and threads/posts/topics on the subject

the "lag fix" has been done to death because its NOT OUR FAULT....activision doesnt want to admit anything, so they throw it at the customer, make them jump through hoops trying to fix it anyway they can

not sure who is worse with online games, EA or activision. i remember when people lagged like crazy on Diablo 3 for the frist 6 months, people losing characters in hardcore because of lag, and they didnt do anything.

activision uses cheap servers and worst ways to play an online game to keep the profit up

In some cases (like myself) the suggestions didn't work as I suffer from unplayable lag in core, HC is fine, which is still confusing to me why HC is fine but core is unplayable..

Statements like these make me laugh. Core lags but HC doesnt? Its the same game and matchmaking system people. If HC plays better for you then that is the mode you should have been playing to begin with. Core isnt for everybody just like HC isnt for everybody. In core you have to stay on target longer to get rewarded for the kill. HC isnt for me because I enjoy engaging in gun battles. You dont get gun battles in HC because its all about seeing your opponent first, land your 1-2 bullets and its over that quick.

I'm glad you think it's funny. It's the same game? I wasn't aware thanks..I enjoy gun battles as well, but when I have to use 10-12 shots (getting hit markers) and the player can drop me with a pistol with one shot then core in BO2 is no longer for me.

It might be hard for someone to believe that HC plays more comsistent than Core - if they haven't experienced themselves. We all have different connectivity experiences. For me - I switched to HC after 7 prestiges of Core. HC plays more consistent - and it's not a placebo.

Is there lag in HC - yes,, but its manageable. I don't get concrete boot syndrome in HC. Believe me - if I experienced the same amount of (behind the play type) lag on HC, as I did in Core, HC would be a disaster zone.

Why is it different - no idea.

I not the best gamer in the world, far from it, but 25 yrs experience of gaming as a hobby means I understand what's going on in my screen. I always listen to guys like Mac - for I'm not a tech head. But don't underestimate my gaming perspective - I'm an intelligent, level-headed guy. Also, the last thing I would do is "laugh" at someone else's experience just because it hasn't happened to me.

In short - I can sympathize with Zingaa

I've seen similar issues.  If I can't connect to a game in core deathmatch I try a different mode and the issues seem to go away most times.  What I've seen is more than in game lag, it's simply being able to get into a game. This morning, I haven't even been able to get a game going.  Other games (AC3, Starcraft, BF3) are connecting normally and no noticeable issues.  Got to be something on their end.

I suspect part of it might be that core lags more than hardcore, what with more explosives being thrown, perhaps faster paced, and often relentless use of scorestreaks since there aren't penalties to using them in core like with hardcore.  This is just a guess and could be way off the mark, but people cite Ground War having a tendency to lag more than its 6 v 6 variants so maybe there's something to it.

That is one of my uneducated guesses too. More "stuff" going on. Whether its explosives, scorestreaks, killcams, etc. I guess less data for the host to deal with, and ourselves for that matter. BO2 is supposed to take up very little bandwidth - : but it's how all this information relates from me to host, host to other player (x 11), then triangulated back to me somehow (a very simplistic view I know).

I tend to feel the same way.  Game modes with a lot of scorestreak and equipment spam, like ground war suck.

I feel like Treyarch built in too many consequences to some of their streaks.  i.e. It's bad enough the warthog kills you, but they also made a sort of "heat wave" effect where your player feels like he's tripping on acid while the plane is flying by.  The Escort drone does the exact same thing.   They should've known better than to add these features....
