It seems to me that Blops2 is waaaay faster than all the other games before it. Players look they are running around on crystal meth - not sure if this is due to lag, lag compensation or new coding within the game but I do know I don't enjoy it. (It's probably worth mentioning that I have a full green bar connection before someone starts trolling with the 'get better internet' line).
With all the divisive arguments about lag/lag compensation I have absolutely no idea what the truth of the matter is. All I do know is this is probably going to be the last Treyarch game (if not last COD) I'll buy again.
The game was designed around run and gunning. It was meant to be played really fast like on MLG. That and the CQC of the maps were to blame. Guns kills faster, there's almost no recoil, and the aim assist feels really strong.
I don't think the maps are much different in approach than MW3 (which I played solidly over the past year) - they are all fairly tight and frantic. I agree about the recoil though but I think this has already been a disntinct difference between the IW and Treyarch games in the past. It's not the running and gunning I have an issue with; it's people moving so fast you can't follow them with your sight (sometimes they are almost teleporting!).
I guess your issue is with a SMG with a Stock attachment and Lightweight perk. I use that setup and it's quite effective. Try it and you'll win a lot of CQC engagements. You move so fast and you're really hard to kill.
Yeah, not sure about that (unless everyone is using that same setup in every game).
this game is faster tried to stop camping (didnt tho) harder to keep a good K/D as well
