Back out will still give you a loss I believe, so you're screwed either way.

Yes, both will give you a loss.

W/L ratio is meaningless in this game unless you play with a full party only.

Well you certainly aren't going to get a win if you join a losing team.

Backing out by pausing and quitting will result in a loss.

Not joining a game in progress by backing out without picking a class will result in a loss.

Dashboarding, signing out of profile or pulling the cable will result in a loss.

Disconnection by server timeout or host migration will result in a loss.

In some cases, even winning or tieing the game will still result in a loss.

Go figure.

The worst is when you win the first round of domination, and barely lose the second one. Why the hell is that a loss? Its a tie, you've both won a round.

But yeah, I've had my fair share of joining a team which has no hope of winning.

It's just a "half-time" swap over not a round based match if you know what I mean. The scores don't reset or anything, you just carry on score wise.

Regarding the OPs query, even if you back out if your then still possibly going to get thrown into yet another total loss of a game, hop out again and you'll get hit with probation. So your really better off just joining and doing your best. At least you'll have a fresh new series of games waitin for you when its over. The only thing that annoys me is when I hop into a losing game and then the lobby closes making me go through the whole charade again and again.

Granted, but there are times that my team is able to supress the enemy enough to take an advantage, only to lose that and have the other team begin spawn trapping us.

I do think the domination halftime swap isn't really halftime though. If it was halftime, then the system would run one of two ways.

1. Halftime is X amount of points, the win comes at double X points. (100 points starts halftime, 200 points to win).

2. Halftime is X amount of time, the game stops at double X time and a winner is declared. (5 mins 1st half, 5 mins 2nd half, highest score wins).

Every sport on the planet that uses any kind of halftime system uses number 2.

As it is, domination is just flawed.
