Call of Duty Black Ops 4 General Discussion Forum

Really not hyped this year which is a first but it's probably from being let down the last two cod releases. I'm already planning on picking up 3 other games which is also a first before thinking of BO4 but are you guys hyped for this game, already pre ordered or playing the waiting game?  The zombies looks great but the MP really isn't my cup of tea this year which is strange it's usually the other way around. Though if they don't make the battle royale amazing I can't see myself buying it. It's kind of sad in a way but there's a bunch of great games on the way so I can always find something else fun to play. I've been hearing a lot of different responses but what are you really doing. I can see them making two  or three black ops season passes which is crazy but I guess they are trying to get consistent revenue to cover their @sses just in case sells aren't there for the next cod games. Gotta make those shareholders happy and your stock climbing. But if they plan on releasing years of content why not make a season pass good for the next 2 years and update and add content. 12 mp maps and 4 zombies is a joke and just seems more like a money grab yearly. If they really wanted to make it up to fans that would be the best middle ground for both parties. Giving years of content with one purchase sounds great but only time will tell. Let's hope for the best out of trey arch and activision on this one that they open their eyes for once.

I was thinking the same, my first thought was the Xmas sale when it's half off but now thinking I'm not buying the season pass so it would just be a waste. Oh well always next year. It's not about the money because I have a few games preordered but I'm really not into this game for a lot of reasons but for those that do I say enjoy and hopefully catch you on the next one.

If I pre-order it's only to play the beta. Lucky for me I can cancel my pre-order as long as I do so before the game releases. Before I part with $60 or $100 I need to know how many maps will ship with the game. If it's 9 or less I may pick it up during a sale weekend. I only play MP so the other stuff is of little to no interest and with the new pass I'm already feeling cheated.

This is the first CoD I dont pre-order, and it looks like I dont buy it. To less content in it what I have seen so far. Old remade maps, no campaign, idc about zombies and that new game mode no one knows about what it is like.

As of now, this is the first COD in years that I am not preordering and unlikely to buy at all mainly due to the weak effort in MP which is main reason I buy the game. Could care less about the battle royal mode. At this point I am not even excited to try beta out, this game just seems to be a slower version of BO3 and I spent a year or so playing that, why would I want to play a boring version of it.

I think it’s silly to pre-order without knowing the amount of maps and how they are going to handle supply drops and micro-transactions. They are going to have show they have a ton more content at launch specifically for MP and zero locked or exclusive to timed events which are stat changing weapons that can’t be earned through regular game progression. I am also going to want to see evidence that they will be either removing the forced single specialist per team or that they are going to at least launch with a minimum of 15 specialists or within the first 2-3 months there will be at least 15 specialists to choose from. Some indication that there will be more options early, not 6 months into a single year game.

So basically, that’s not going to happen so I won’t be pre-ordering and if I buy it, which will be unlikely, it won’t be until much later.

I pre-ordered after the reveal, then upgraded to the Pro Edition, and am waiting to hear about a collectors edition (hopefully zombies collectible).

Even though I'm not thrilled about the campaign being replaced by Blackout, it's not going to deter me from getting into multi and zombies. As of now I've liked what I've heard... besides the reskinned fan favorites that is exclusive to Sony right now on BO3. Robot Mad

I have no issue with the price or how the Pass is being handled. Support for the game in the upcoming years means they will be adding content. I wouldn't expect CoD to give that stuff away fro free just like how BO3 added Zombie Chronicles.

I've been paying for more maps since WaW and feel I've got my monies worth. I certainly won't be buying any microtransactions or CoD Points unless it supports the  C.O.D.E.

Hey I hope they take care of the fans but the specialist part threw me off where you have a overwatch style of being locked to only one specialist because I might want to customize my gameplay to certain specialist which pissed me off. Just seems like they took from all these other games which makes cod feel nothing like it should with the stin packs and certain aspects I'm not a fan of. They can still fix some of these but I get buying dlc but when I hear they have years of expansion yet tied to yearly passes that's were I feel they need to make it up for the drama the past years and do a one time pass for the life span of content. I'd be perfectly fine buying a life span season pass for all dlc content since there's no campaign it gives them more time to work on more multiplayer content.

Even though I am not excited for it I will buy it. Mainly because I'm getting bored of my games now and lately have been playing MW3.
I will buy BFV as well and see which I prefer.
