thats because your points carry over to the new division. im currently ranked 7 on platinum at 1600 score. if i move to master, i'll be about the 30-40s. not 100+
Wow, I love this line...
You play 5 games, out of those 5 games depending on how many of those games you win you are placed within a division, Iron 200 being the lowest, Master rank 1 currently the only achievable highest rank (there is a pro division but it is not available as of yet).
Have you actually tested this lately? "Depending on how many of those games you win" Seriously?
I did not win ANY of my 5 evaluation games in either type of League, in fact NONE of the 10 games (5 in each type) were even games at all, they were just slaughters... being brand new to Leage play of any kind in the game (thus no prior rank ever) all 5 of my games in both game types I was placed in games where there were only 2-3 of us against full teams of 4 on championship series or only 2-5 of us against full teams of 6 on moshpit series. In addition to already having that as a handicap the teamembers we started with, more quit soon before the game even really got going. Everyone of our team members were all either no rank or iron rank. Almost every single enemy in both leagues that we was put against were all Gold, Platinum, or Masters. A few days after I did my 5 evaluation games my friend did the same thing and she had the exact same experiance (in fact since she was our party leader I went through her games with her).
It wasn't much of an evaluation, slaughter was a better description. Especially in the game where I was the ONLY player on my team beyond the first 20 seconds of the game on Capture the Flag. At least when I went through it again with my friend we was guaranteed there would be at least 2 of us on a team, which in 5 different evaluation games for her (2 on champion series and 3 on moshpit) that's exactly what happend, after the first few moments everyone else on our team left. She ended up getting an IRON rank of 197 (about as low as you can get) due to that and was very upset that it wasn't an evaluation of her skills as a player, it was just a bad joke.
I've played with Noosh several times now. He's an excellent player and just an all around good guy. I've gotten a lot of wins by being on his teams. He will help you get setup for the way he and his friends play.
The only concern is If you are an American (like me) you need to be prepared for connection issues if you play with these guys. They're all in Europe so there are definitely going to be ping problems. I have a pretty good ISP, 60Mbps down, 12Mbps up, and usually a 40ms ping in public games. I get picked as host quite a bit. When I play with Noosh and other Europeans I end up a 2 or 3 bar player. I can pump tons of bullets into people and they turn around and kill me. I have paid attention to the other high ping players in our games and they're almost always getting dominated. Better players might be able to overcome these issues, I usually cannot. Don't be discouraged if it happens to you, Noosh doesn't mind and will totally work with you.
Connection issues aside playing with Noosh is an experience. I had never played league nor on a team of people who were coordinating their actions. I have learned a ton of new things while getting killed a lot. Noosh has not once complained or asked me to to things I couldn't. He and his friends are always willing to work with you no matter how bad you play.
I highly recommend adding Kean the Noosh if you're interested in getting into league play and learning how to play on a team. You will become a better player. I started out like most people by getting stomped in my placement games. I ended up ranked 125ish in Iron Division, at the end of my playing today I was ranked 4th in Silver Division. I owe alot of my upward movement to Noosh and his friends. Moving up in rank in league play is all about being on a good team. You don't really have to be all that good. There are ways for everyone to contribute. You need a mic and the ability to work with teammates. Playing with Noosh and his friends will help tremendously.
If there are any American's who wish to team up and play Moshpit Series feel free to add me:

I don't fully understand your point sorry. I know that in moshpit due to low player count atm, even if you win 5 games or something you will still be placed silver - gold. Then you have to work your way up.
The league games are fun WHEN your teamates do what they are supposed to AND the system actually matches you properly (which seems rare) but myself and my friend keep get putting on teams where the other members;
A) Quit virtually soon as the game starts leaving our team short handed with another group who quits as soon as our team is down by a single point or two. And we are left to play with a short-handed team.
B) They remain in the game but just stand at the spawn point never moving, if someone kills them then they just stand at the next spawn point. I'm guessing they are in it for the easy XP, they get 10k XP if our team wins (despite them not helping at all) and even if we loose because they are just standing still they still get 7500 XP. I have even seen several who's character would just remain at the spawn point jumping up and down, way too regular for them to just be sititng there pressing the "A" button, I assume this is some kinda program or mod they have connected to their controller to make their charachter jump up and down in place so it simulates them actually being at the controller, ironically it's the same button you push to select your default load at the start of a new game. Someone in one game said that they can literally start it doing that and then sit back and watch a movie.
C) They walk around aimlessly, shooting their guns at random things (seemingly everything but the enemy), doing the "twirling around and around while shooting in the air" thing, seemingly just "playing" with their different guns and not actually participating in the objective of the mission at all. I usually tend to dismiss this as probably being kids goofing off but could be wrong and even if it is it's no help to the team.
D) Often seems to be at least one team mate who clarly has NO CLUE what your supposed to do in each of the game types or do random things off on their own that don't really help the team that much, a few very common examples;
S&D; They RUSH forward in S&D to grab the bomb, but then wander around aimlessly with it just shooting enemyes until they themselves get shot or the timer runs down, never even TRYING to actually plant the bomb and of course they have it so no one else can either. I have even seen some who was REALLY GOOD at killing enemies, never did get killed, but would JUMP forward at the start of each round grabbing the bomb and then just go around killing enemies never trying to plant the bomb at all until we lost because the timer ran out. On the flip side I have seen games where the other team would plant the bomb and we'd manage killing them all but end up dying also and it would get down to just one member of our team and one member of the other team with the bombs timer running down, anbd our guy will wander around never even trying to head in the direction of where the bomb is ticking down. I know he needs to stay alive and maybe even kill the one remaining member of the other team, but he needs to disarm the bomb too if he can't find the other guy in time and you can pretty much guaranteed the last member of their team will be somewhere near the bomb trying to defend it so wandering around on the entire opposite side of the map with the bomb about to go off isn't likely to be a winning strategy.
Capture the Flag; They grab the enemy flag but just run around with it aimlessly like they think all they have to do is to hold the flag and keep from getting killed, never actually making a move toward returning it to our side to get the point. Some wander around just killing enemy which is helpful but it would be more helpful to either actually help escort our flag carrier and kill the enemys that try to attack him, or to defend our flag. When our flag is in one place, the enemies in another, and we're trying to defend our flag while capturing theirs, sitting and "camping" on the far corner of the map not even along a route likely to be taken by anyone who is carrying a flag one way or the other just hoping to get a kill on a random passer-by is not that helpful to the team.
Hard Point; It's not just that you have to keep the enemy out of the hardpoint area, you have to keep at least one of your team in it at all times. Some people kill enemy but do it from outside the hardpoint area, I don't think everyone realizes that you actually need to keep SOMEONE from our team within the area at all times, either to gain points if we can keep all enemy outside the area, or to keep the enemy from gaining points by keeping ourselves in the area as much as possible. Killing the enemy is always a help but you need to try and stay in/get in the hardpoint area as much as possible if you want to win the game and I don't think some players actually get that.
Kill Confirmed; They do a nice job of killing the enemy but make no move to pick up any tags at all, even ones they could have EASILY have gotten, leaving them for the enemy to grab and get points off of or the rest of our team mates to have to try to gran before the enemy gets them. In KC in leage play it's not how many people you kill, it's how many TAGS you pick up, the team with the most tags wins. Killing lots of people is awesome but if you just leave the all the tags for the enemy to swoop up your teams still gonna loose.
I am sorry that you have had those problems, but have we all not experienced these actions too? Playing champions reduces the people who will do that, if you have 2 people already. Just get 1 more friend into league and there, you have a solid 3 man team.
Tbh i lose most of my games with randoms, but when i am with my teams I win most games. Not because everyone is awesome (but we are) it is just that we know what our roles are.
