RIP BO2: My Story

Black Ops II Xbox 360

No need to be a dick. You're obviously one of the very fortunate minority who can enjoy what you've spent your hard earned on as its intended. Some of us just can't play it because the quality of play is so awful.

the first 10 sec. where your "snapping around" looks more like a problem with your connection. would be quite the coince but its worth looking into. its looked like that a few times for me but only when the host is having connection issues or my modem or router is about to cut out.

The 1 shot kill is what i experience 9 out of 10 games. to compensate you have to jump around corners and hipfire. as there will be the split millisecond you see the enemy before he sees you. camping and taking your time is not an option. i use ghost, it encourages me to keep it moving. and it keeps them from jumping around the corner on me as half the time they wont even be all the way in my screen before i die.

It may be something with your router or modem. I know i went through 4 motorola sufboards. they would last about 2 weeks. then become very unstable. i think they will only work under 25mbps or something. ive also gone through a couple used linksys routers. they just burned out eventually.

If you use a router. then connect straight to the modem(youll probably have to reset it). if it fixes it then it may be your router.

If you use wifi then i hate you as your are my nemisis.

Sometimes it could be your whole area.

I now have a fancy modem with docsis 3.0. ohh... ahh...

Pings are extremely low and the connection is very stable. my isp also uses "fiber optics" "optics" "optics" (echos). so im sure that helps.

Unfortunaly this game is trash. and all the 50 millisecond ping from SoCal to NY means is a consistanly horrible disadvantage.

Your router couldve been on the way out giving you a high ping. causing a slight advantage(swarm) beast mode status. just wait til you get a steady connection with low latency. banghead, face palm. insert emoticon here.

PS. if you want to quit playing this game you must sell it now or break it in half. If it is accessible then resistance is futile.

Good Luck

I read these posts everyday, I empathize with you guys. I just don't have these problems ever. Yes, I get the crappy host every now and then. Occasionally, no even rarely, do I notice lag comp. If I'm not playing well I just take a break and watch a movie. Maybe I'm just not thinking about it that much and these issues are destroying players' experience. Sucks, I wish this game would work for everyone.

I agree with Gomez, I have not had any of these problems. Other than the occational laggy host ive been relatively consistant since it released. i think is what it comes down to is the gameplay is evolving as people get more familar with the maps.

those of you that have had it since release know what im talking about. for the first 2-3 weeks it was awesome killing people left and right, peopel doing dumb things and just destroying everyone. and know that everyone is pretty familiar with teh "hotspots" "camp grounds" etc. the gameplay is starting to evolve and you have to account for this or just like is sports....if you cant adapt you are done....

for thos eof you havign these issues i say to really pay attention to the maps, use your heat maps on elite to determine where the hot spots are and use that info to create better strategies and whatnot

ive had the game since release and am very well aware that it evolves as time progresses. adapt or die is the way you havr to learn how to play, and clearly i am aware of that. the disappointing part of it all shows its ugly face when the adapt or die concept turns into being rewuired to run ghost, silenced weapons that youve already golded and max prestiged instead of being the type of person who plays for achievements. also, this ugly face shows itself when you feel like the only way you can get the  kill in 97% of cq gunfights is by firing before you turn corners (giving away your position) or firing in the area you expect/guess someone to be in (also giving yourself away), and in turn you end up dying because someone fires a pistol at you from halfway across the map and you die in one or two shots. yes,im griping a bit, but i believe its with just cause.

updating op again within thr next couple days, busy today but will be home soon enough.

Did you check your router. Do you know what your router is?
90% of my games are like that (minus the snapping). I went about 4-5 days once where i barely had trouble. i thought they fixed it. but no. k/d went right back to usual 1.2something. some nights Ill have 20 bad games and 0 good games.
Even if i go 30 and 10. if my bullets arent registering. or theyre doing 50% damage. then ill back right out. its about having fun. I dont care if i win or loose. i just want it to work properly.
buying this game is like buying a car with a blown transmission. you can drive it but its not going to run right.
