There is nothing wrong with the care packages. The probablitly of getting any score streak past 1200 points cumulatively is less than 4% for all of them put together. If somebody gets a lucky kill streak once in a while then so be it. If you don't like them then carry a launcher and shoot down the delfivery copter or steal the package on the ground.
Of course I'm shooting down the delivery chopper .... That's 125 points ....but they are too quick unless ur on carrier or hijacked to keep them off the stage. And it would be cool except u don't understand how many games I've been in where the enemy has gotten stealth chopper twice plus an escort drone plus a vast plus agr all in ONE match and the WHOLE team was running cps .... That's bs. And the only reason you think I'm over reacting is because you run that set up wheelie . Oh and I don't know why it posted the same thing so many times ..... It said error while loading
For the record, I think you are over reacting because you ARE over reacting. For the record, my score streak set up is as follows generally. For deathmatch based games I run UAV, Stealth Chopper, AGR. For objective based games I switch out the chopper for EMP systems.
I think ur off on the whole 4% thing. Maybe 40% . The streaks are separated .... The first two rows, under 1000 the 2nd, over 1000. People know you have a 50/50 shot of hitting the last two rows. And THAT'S why they do it and will continue as long as developers make it so easy. And like I said, I think this should be regulated to game type. It's just too easy in kc to earn it. At least it doesn't count towards your combat record or calling cards
In 280 hours of gameplay, I have seen ONE swarm from a CP. One. Some of your suggestions are interesting, but you are completely exaggerating the current situation w/ CPs. It doesn't help your cause, even though I know it feels like it does.
"At least it doesn't count towards your combat record or calling cards "
Incorrect.. they DO count toward your combat record and calling cards as long as you have them unlocked with a token. For Prestige Master, all scorestreaks are unlocked so all scorestreak kills count toward them.
For example, if you're a prestige 3 and have 10 unlock tokens available, yet haven't unlocked Swarm and then get one in a CP, those Swarm kills won't count. If you unlock Swarm with a token (wishful thinking, perhaps?) and THEN get a Swarm in a CP the kills WILL count. I wish I had known that earlier, too, as I'd be much closer to the calling cards for the higher streaks now.
Between Lodestars, VTOLs, Dogs and Swarms I've probably gotten a combined 20 of them through CP's (re-rolled or not) since release date (November). That's with 25+ days of game play, mind you. Occasionally there will be lucky streaks (or "Treyarch throwing a bone to players day") where a lot of high streaks will come up in CP's, but that is very, very rare.
I used to equip UAV / HK or RCXD / CP and re-roll all the time. I've only had 1 Ruthless and maybe 60 Merciless, along with about 1500 Bloodthirsty medals. With a 1.1 - 1.2 KD, I've never been able to string enough kills/points together to earn a Dogs/Swarm on my own. If you can do so, routinely, then you are in the top 1% of online players (130K out of 13 million+) for sure. It's not EASY for 99% of online players to get 7 kills + tags for a VSAT, let alone 3 more kills + tags after that. It would be a waste of time for many players to run any scorestreak beyond row 2. They'll either never achieve it, or so rarely that it's not helping them or their teammates.
While leveling up my LMGs - just got them diamond yesterday - and playing a support role, i.e. "camping an area of the map," I switched to UAV / VSAT / EMP to help the team. (OK, and to earn the calling cards.) I'll even admit to leaving a lot of tags out there, which hopefully teammates grab or I shoot enemies going for them. More often than not I'll be killed from behind due to a spawn flip rather than someone flanking me.
thats just perfect .... COD LOGIC ... so, now, the people who camp for carepackages even get the rewards for being a B*TCH .... well played trey arch, well played. Asfor the people who truely aren't good enough to earn higher ....like I've said in recent posts, I bet you also aren't talking about how good you are either. I do recognize that SOME people just haven't reached that level, I get it. But, also, I realize that it's completely turned the game. There was a time, it was go hard and get what you can .... now 99% of people on here run the smallest killstreaks there is then try flexin xbox muscles like they did something. Cracks me up. THAT'S why my gamer card says "you WILL hide"
yes it IS my gamertag ... and while you check out my combat record, you'll see, I did the same thing at first. When the game first came out, I used cp .... uav, hkd,cp . But, after the first week, moved up to hkd,LS,AGR ... and I stayed there for a while. I feel those are earnable mid-level streaks. Then, the first week of feb, I said know what, I don't think I'll EVER be able to get dogs or swarm, but, I'm gonna try for dogs. and got them the FIRST match ....I couldn't believe it !! now, I use Stealth,VSAT,SWARM (well at least till I get 4 more swarms coz that'll be 100) the thing you should notice, is, I kept moving my streaks up to TRY to get better. Isn't that what this game and any other is about ? Ya play, and try to get better at something. It's kinda like completing a challenge. You work at it, and as you get better, you move up. Seems this game has a bunch of noobs that have no motivation to advance or improve. It just feels like there IS a 1% of good players in this game and the reason is because people don't even TRY to get better. I'm not saying by ANY means that I just run over people all the time, I'm just sayin it takes away from the game and what it was made for. Look at the leaderboards .... the top people ( at least in kill confirmed) with 1200 spm, the WHOLE team, just lets ONE person collect EVERY TAG. I was disappointed. I thought I was gonna go to the theatre and see some bad ass stuff .... NOPE. The cheap way people play on these games, makes it all .... a bad experience. I'm not the best, BUT, I AM good enough to compete with very skilled players. It would be nice to know where I TRUELY stand against other players when it comes to skill level, and with the community playing the way it does, it's impossible to EVER know where you truely stand. People who aren't that skilled, wouldn't understand and I don't expect them to. It's kinda like winning by finding loop holes. If I race someone in my car, to me, it's the same as running them off the road in order to win .... but even though TECHNICALLY i have that option, but, does it make it right ?
There's always COD4 if you hate it that much.
I doubt the care package will ever be get rid of. I used to find it slightly annoying when someone can get a VSAT in a care package as I mainly play TDM but last time that happened the side were going to win anyway. It doesn't appear to be as rewarding as MW3, MW2 gave you four care packages after 8 kills, and BO1 wasn't too rewarding either and to re-roll it you sacrificed Flak Jacket, Ghost or Lightweight. Bu then I've come across a clan all running care packages, who were all decent players, during MW3 and I had to deal with an AC-130, an AH-6 Overwatch and a Reaper that all came from care packages since my teammates weren't running Stingers.
I'm guessing the care package is quite popular in HC KC because of how rewarding colelcting tags can be, so you can get several in a match, and the limited HUD helps conceal the care package chopper so you're less exposed to giving away your position.
