If someone else other than Macca can help I'd sure appreciate it. Just figured to try and get his attention if at all possible.
Ok, I have FIOS service which means I have an actiontec modem/router combo. I have the netgear wndr3800 bridged to the actiontec and only use the netgear for gaming. Hardwired btw.
I installed Tomato 1.28 for more control. Since I've installed the firmware I cant get on the net or xbl.
Tomato and the actiontec both use 192.168.1.1...is this the problem? Really just a no0b over here with this stuff. Any help is appreciated.
Should I be using Tomato or DD-WRT? Thanks!
I've only just started using open-wrt myself recently. You might want to just send a pm, I don't know if anyone will reply but it's worth a shot.
If it worked fine this way before then it'd be your new firmware being set up wrong. I'm not sure how you've got it set up and whether you need to set it differently or not. I'm sure if you google it you'll get some specific help and if there's a tomato forum/wiki that'd be a good place to start.
Yes. All you should have to do is change your IP range on the netgear to something like 10.0.0.1 for example. Having both the same causes an IP conflict.

Im not positive I would ask for networking information from someone who thinks the game works fine as is.
I don't think this is the forum to be asking - your mess up, you fix it
I think you replied to the wrong post ie mine not the OP
