After countless hours of frustration in all previous CoD versions of objective based games due to nubs running around killing each other instead of capturing the flag or headquarters, making a 20 minute game seem like absolute torture, while they are all worried about their k/d ratio, the game still hasn't been fixed.
BO2 promised to give more points to players who actually try to achieve objectives, instead, I have have experienced the same old story; higher kill counts=higher points. Even after capturing the HQ 5 times, and destroying the enemy HQ 3 times, the points were not enough to top the guy with teh highest k/d ratio in the game.
Not true my friend. Yesterday playing KC, I had all 3 of my killstreaks, with only 3 kills. Does that cater to the high k/d player?? No way what so ever.
My killstreaks are UAV, CP, and Sentry Gun.
And those where UAV, RC-XD and carepackage. for a total to get all 550 points
I only play KC, so I couldn't tell you. Those mode were always full of K/D whores.
Scoring system is anti-objective gamers. played some domination, got 15 (!!) captures and a lot of defenses, still a guy with only kills ended 1st. Why isn't the number of captures leading in domination for the scoreboard?
That was my sentiments exactly.
As is expected, in an objective based game, you are going to die more than usual trying to get to the objective. If you happen to get it, the points should be more than kills or kill-streaks or whatever.
If a player wants k/d ratios and points for such, they should stick to KC, TDM, FFA, etc.
Agree, taking a flag on domination is 200 points with huge risks of getting flanked by some douche, protecting the objective with a killstreak is 25 points same for just a normal kill.
All those are way to less points or the risk is so high ur better off ADS the whole dam time at a same spot waiting for an enemy to pop up or just R&G 2 ppl down equals a capture.
I know they need to watch out for giving to much points that u can get high killstreak by just supporting ur team but again they fail in getting rewarding teamplay in the game.
