Stop spreading lies - I installed the textures first thing when I got the game - I am now first Prestige and have only had 2 hard freezes.
Looking at other peoples Stats - player cards etc. while in MP has been proven to cause freezes - basically when I'm in MP I don't do anything else - just sit in the lobby and wait for the game to start.
The install is a good thing don't try to discourage people from using it.
There's absolutely no conclusion here. You need a pool of 100 cases cited comparatively against 1000 non-cases.
3 PS3s and 3 discs or whatever is coincidence, there's nothing here.
Otherwise, I could equally say, installing textures does not ruin your disc.
I have run 2 discs through my PS3, I have installed textures and both discs work still.
Untrue, When i got the game on opening day, the first two things i did were, install the textures and set the default settings to go straight to the multplayer option.
With the exception of the servers being down last Wednesday night until Thursday evening it has run almost perfectly.
I have had 2 freezes, both occured after game setting change updates, but when the last settings change came through on monday i downloaded it, logged out shut down and restarted before i played again it did not freeze.
I am using an old fat PS3 that i bought in early 2007..
Obviously your conclusions are incorrect.
Many people have installed textures and have not seen any additional issues.
No need to keep this going; all it is doing is influencing the ignorant.
I thought the idea of installing the textures onto the HDD was so the blueray drive did not have to constantly read them from the game disc therefore putting extra strain on your system, correct me if i am wrong..
Possibly the dumbest thing I've read. Don't post this ignorant Sh!t that will only mislead noobs into not doing something that they should do.
I have textures installed. I experienced the hard freezing, but last night was the first night I did not experiencing any hard freezing, a lot of lag and getting booted from games, but no hard freezing.
