December 2012 - I was Console Banned from Black Ops 2. I called Activision, and they said: "We have no information on why you were console banned, and there's no way you can appeal it" So alright, I'll go along with that BS, someone had to know what went wrong.
Janurary 15th 2012 - I bought a new PS3, signed in with my old account and was console banned again. Nobody at Activison told me that if your account had a console banned associated with it, you would get every other console signed into banned.
Janurary 16th 2012 - I returned the PS3 and got a new one. This time I played it smart.
Signed into the BRAND NEW Ps3, with the NEW Account, and NEW Ethernet port.
Guess what happens next? Yeah, the Brand New console was banned.
Solved! Go to Solution.
We are looking into this for you. No need to contact support.
That's crazy! Do you live with nerds that have messed with your Internet connection?!?! I can't see how else this would occur.
Nobody has access to my room, other than that I don't know how they could.
The building has a Moderate NAT Type, which takes the Ps3 10-20 minutes to connect to multiplayer after turning it on, - I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Activision doesn't keep a record of why they console ban people, but their website says they only give out console bans after reviewing and deciding based on evidence?
10-20 minutes?!?!?! Lol! Maybe they think you are using a lag switch with such slow Internet.
Lol, I hope not. I can play just fine, it's just connecting to the server that takes me so long.
I have 2-3 Bar connection through entire games.
Althought, I cannot host even a Zombie private match with 2 people, the other person will only have 1 bar connection.
Activision doesn't do console bans. That would be SONY and I'm guessing that they banned your IP address if that's what keeps happening. I don't actually know how they do it but that would be my guess.
Have you tried playing other games or are you being banned from the PSN? PSN can block your IP being used and any console using it as a connection can be blocked. Most cases it's a major reason for the action.. Something like sending porn over the network or mailicious code. Also if you are watching bootleg downloads from bittorrent that are produced by Sony Entertainment you can get blocked.
I guess you'll have to trade it in on an Xbox 360 and, wait for it, NOT BOOST OR CHEAT, or whatever you did to get banned.
Like mentioned above Sony is only one who can console ban you. My guess is you hacked or did something pretty serious to earn an IP ban
