We have new news on the Xbox 720.
1. The upcoming console will not support second hand games, all games will have a activation key.
2. The new console will play 50GB bluray discs ()
3. The console will have to be "Always Online" to be able to play a game.
More information and news about it can be found here
Move to off topic.
It doesnt do much good to site a source, that doesnt site their source. Is it an xbox insider? Is it a beta tester? Im so tired of the rumor mill around the next gen systems...
I call fake, why? because of this.
The new Xbox 720 will only work when connected to the internet, the console will not work offline.
Never going to happen, million of people play offline without connected to xbl. Microsoft isn't so stupid and cuts them off.
That would be almost as stupid and Sony wanting to make it so used games won't work and having to download every game. Could you imagine downloading 25gb games?
"OMG COD comes out on Tuesday maybe by Friday I can play it!!!"
I doubt #1 is true as well. It would mean people wouldn't be able to trade games, take games to someone else house, etc. Now they may make online portions of the game locked to a console, but not the game itself.
I will not buy a system that has either #1 or #3.
The games companies have been trying to get rid of the second-hand market for years. It's no secret that both Sony and MS have been looking at shutting them out for next gen consoles.
