Advanced Warfare Off-Topic

If they add TDM with killstreaks on Crucible then COD will surely be in trouble. The beta alone is far more impressive than anything I've seen from Advanced Warfare.

I was lucky enough, through friends, to aquire codes for both Xbox consoles and I am absolutely loving it. The graphics, storyline and game play is so immersive. As for MP you need to be level 5, I believe, then you get an invite to the crucible, which then opens up another planet on your Nav system so you can access MP. Only played 1 game on MP, but personally I enjoyed it thoroughly - don't know what game modes are available, but I was lucky enough to play a Domination style game, really good fun.

I played last night to grind to level 5 so i could try the crucible..

I have to be honest even though i was on 360 the game looks pretty amazing visually, I found playing solo gave me the same boredom level as grinding borderland son my own did and i hated the go here kill x number of these things missions.

But i did enjoy it ended up staying up till stupid oclock in the morning too.

the cruucible though ..nope not at all.. i played moon map which i understand is the least popular but i found the mp too much like halo but so slow i hated it, i gonna try again now but so far major mehs

So Level 5 is the key to  MP?

I am not sure I will enjoy the MP from what I am hearing from you and rankismet so far, but the gameplay itself is quite enjoyable thus far.

The MP is poo.

The regular game... enjoying much, much more than I anticipated. It's gonna be a great compliment to COD...

... presuming AW MP isn't pure drek... and I'm a touch concerned it might be.

That's my opinion but it should be yours ;-),

In an interview with the Official Xbox Magazine (OXM), Sledgehammer Games discussed a few details surrounding Advanced Warfare’s Multiplayer.

Advanced Warfare MP introduces lots of new features and innovations that we’ve never seen before in a Call of Duty title, ranging from new classes of weapons, to new player movements.

“We’ve got heavy weapons, which is sort of another new class, verticality through the boost jump – you can imagine what that does to the multiplayer experience,” said Condrey. “And then cloak, super-strength, and then off-the-controller changes, like the exo-boost and the exo-slide.

“We’ve got a really great combo now with the boost jump and then a lethal slam from above,” he went on. “We feel like it’s a pretty fundamental change to the second-to-second combat, as well as the broader linear experience that you see in campaign.”

“The shotgun is a close quarters weapon. A short ranged, broad angle weapon like the shotgun is pretty ineffective against a player who can boost out of the way really quickly, right? So there are a lot of really interesting and unique challenges and opportunities, and I think when we talk about MP in more detail you’ll get to see that, but the variety that the new controls and the exo bring to gameplay is pretty revolutionary.”

SHGames realizes that they’re certain aspects of Call of Duty that people always want to see, and not break or discard the most popular aspects.

“We know that there are some fundamental things we have to do with Call of Duty,” observed Schofield. “There are a bunch of weapons that people will always gravitate to, so we have to bring those forward into the future.

“What we do is we look at an AK47, and in 50 years it hasn’t changed a heck of a lot, so for a future version, we’ve changed it as much as you would in 50 years. Others we’ve looked at, and they’ve just changed fundamentally in those 50 years, so we’ve made those adjustments as well – we’ve said ‘OK, that’s changed a lot’.”
