I've only ever used the mote in these games, never owned sticks for the Wii until the gamepad.
Bought a PS3 when they delayed the WiiU last year and tried MW3 on it, but took the game back, don't like stick shooting.
So was really looking forward to BLOPS2, and the mote is broken...so trying gamepad until patch.
Question though, I just don't see the aim assist working. What's it supposed to be doing for me? I see everyone complaining about the DA aim assist, but I'm not noticing any "assistance" whatsoever.
In Local, I see ADS snap with the wiimote, but not with the pad. Online I don't see anthing happening with either.
Apparently it's working for somebody, folk seem to get right on me lol!
Mote seems ok to me, not quite right, but my sensitivity needs tweaking, ive only played 8 games.
The thing I noticed though was that I played combat training with the bots only, and I went 56-6 and 47-7, on the medium level, so theyres nothing wrong with my aim or the wiimote, but then I played multiplayer and broke positive in 3 games and negative in the last 3. I was dying and guys werent even aiming at me suggesting that the killzone is maybe too big for the sticks? And the lag comp is deffo off, I would see a guy and start shooting him, but he`d kill me, and then in the killcam I didnt even raise my gun
I think the aim assist thing widens the area in which you cause damage, at least thats how it feels and looks from my minimum experience so far. And I know from my xbox xperience that you can shoot near a guy and kill him.
They have realised that you cant be deadly accurate with the sticks, at least the majority cant, hence the aim assist and bigger damage area. It sucks imvho.
I think wiiU should be wiimote only for FPS, but I know financialy that isnt viable. Damage area for analogs needs shortening, and im good to go.
Interesting, however I do not have this ADS assist in MW3. I suspect this is a result of different sensitivity setups. Maybe lookspring/ads reach/dead zone have to be certain settings in order for it to exist.
I also did my moab with every gun series with aim assist off, it didnt affect my aim whatsoever. With or without AA my aim was always the same down the sights (except for the snap on).
