Ok, so the in-game data can be stored and tracked. At a certain point in the game when the score has reached a reasonably insurmountable loss for one team, block new players from being entered into the match.
If all players on the losing team quit after this point, or the losing team is down to like 2 players, the game is forfeit to the winners.
If this logic was in place, there would be no need for a temp table
