CALL OF DUTY
Having problems trying to connect to online multiplayer, tells me the system is down etc etc,
(sitting in the Multiplayer screen when i select Play Online, it says Connecting to Online Service, takes about 1m:30
and pops up with this.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops II server is not available at this
time. Please try again later or visit
http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/status for updates
When i go to this page it tells me the sever is online and fully opperational, so i go to the activision service page and it
tells me it could be something to do with my internet connection, not fast enough, because i'm wireless, router firewall etc
but i'm allowed to play other games online so i'm unsure if its my connection.
Also its been doing this for about 24 hours and i haven't tried playing online multiplayer till now.
any ideas or tips? Would be greatly appreciated
won't let me write down a reply so i'll just add it here.

Hi ScytheNZ, Apologies for the delay with responding to your post. If you are still experiencing a connection issue, can you please provide the NAT type and bandwidth the registers in-game? Multiplayer>Options>System info. System info will appear on screen. You can reply here or you can reach us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ActivisionAssist and Twitter https://twitter.com/ATVIAssist Thanks ^AH
You're welcome and thanks for the update ScytheNZ. The Strict NAT type is limiting communication between your game and our server. You will have to open ports. To do so, you will need to establish a static IP address and port forward to open those blocked ports. If done correctly, the NAT type will be set to Open. An Open NAT type will allow the communication to pass through so you can connect to an online match.
The articles below list the port numbers you will need for your platform. ScytheNZ, if you have any questions on how to port forward, you can contact your ISP or the router manufacturer for assistance. They can walk you through the process if needed.
Let us know the results. Regards ^AH
