Friendly Fire

ssj4gokusss

Okay, I just logged on today and was met with a probation screen. This is not the first time this has happened. The last game I played I finished and the last thing I did on the game was play 2 hours of zombies. This should not be happening. I also don't understand why I get probation for my teammates stupidity. I'm shooting, they run in front of me, I kill them, I get kick, I get probation. Look, I paid over $130 just on this game, I should be able to play whenever I want to. If team killing is such a big deal then get rid of it! It serves no purpose in the game other than to piss people off and give people the tools they need to troll the people who are trying to play the game properly. Getting rid of friendly fire would not break the game, and make HC open to a broader audience, thus giving us players who like to play HC, more playlists. IW tried ricochet, and that does not work because it allows people to take damage on purpose just to get the guy on your team killed. Treyarch try's only letting you kill three teammates and then you get kicked, but this lets people run through flying bullets or on explosives and get rid of a teammate altogether. Unless you can distinguish a deliberate team kill from an accidental one, you should just get rid of friendly fire...for everybody's sake. I just want to play some Call of Duty man...

If this is too big a task for you, how about adding a no friendly fire HC playlist? I'm only asking for one that maybe is TDM and/or KC? Give me something here man, it's getting out of hand.

While I was writing this I was letting my probation timer run down. It finished before I was done. After I finished this post, I tried to play a game...and guess what happened? A new 5 minute probation screen pops up...seriously? WTF guys?

i agree you shouldnt get probabtion for getign kicked because of friendly fire. my only reasoning behind this is their spawns are TURRIBLE! HC dom, hijacked, i die, and even before my screen reloads me, i am dead AGAIN! spawned into a friendly fire. literally never saw it, screen didnt have time to load. guy was in my xbox live party and was laughing his ass off. while it was a little funny, if this can happen, why even kick people out of games? why ban them for a certain period of time? fix the spawns and maybe i could see TK being punishable. fix your **** first, before punishing your players

I might be one of the only players that don't have a huge problem with the spawns, sure on nuketown and hijacked they're sometimes bad, but their small maps only so many vacant spots to be. I actually got 2 probations the other day for sentry gun friendly, but no huge deal only 5 minutes...

Just got kicked from a game...and I got probation...that was only one time after getting TWO ghost probations...fix this, now.

If you can't keep from killing Teammates, you shouldn't be playing Hardcore.  In over a thousand games in HC, I have been kicked a handful of times, and never even got a probation warning.

Hardcore= FF On. That means you need to control your fire, be more aware, communicate clearly to your teammates. Stop blaming the game or teammates for your mistakes.

While i do agree with your statements drew, dont push people away from HC. Educate then on how to avoid there current troubles. We need every one we can get bud...

        Agreed.

My point is that HC is an FF mode.

I am tired of people trying to change HC into Core because they can't adjust to the game. If the OP can't keep from killing Teammates, he needs to either change up his game or not play in HC modes. I encourage people to play HC... but I don't appreciate guys trying to change the mode to serve their own needs.

It is very difficult to control your fire when you're on very small maps. Ex. Nuketown. Now on maps like aftermath, carrier, and plaza, to me there should be no excuses to get kicked from the game. Those maps are big enough to know who you are firing at.

That does not work when you are playing with random people. Sure, if I had a clan it would be easier for it to not happen, but that does not change how other people play, trying to play like core, like what your teammates are doing has nothing to do with you. This does not happen because I blind fire or just spam a LMG, this happens when other people on my team run into my bullets, usually trying to steal my kill, and I get punished for it. Friendly fire IS NOT HC, not having to put a mag into a guy to kill him, not having a HUD or RADAR and no kill cams is HC, and you don't get that in core. If friendly fire is the reason you play HC then that pretty messed up.

HC is supposed to be more challenging with friendly fire so obviously it's working. Ya I've had plenty of times where my teammate wasn't careful and ran in front of me and then killed me for revenge but that doesn't mean it should be changed. In KC and Dom it's even more challenging but that's the way it should be.

Just don't play HC. @sneed, if you don't die much then spawns won't be a problem. Caution, use it.

Lol, I had a similar thing happen to me. But I never knew you could get it from friendly fire. I played multiplayer for a little over 2hrs with two of my friends on Friday night last weekend. We all finished the last match and two of us decided we were done playing for the night. After the match was over I turned off my xbox like normal and went to bed. When I got on the next day I played about 15mins of Mob of the dead solo, then my friend logged on and invited me to play multiplayer, I tried to accept his game invite but couldn't and the 5 min probation message popped up on the screen. I have no idea why I got it, I just laughed though and took a picture to show everybody, this game is bonkers sometimes. The countdown seemed like it went by fast so it didn't bother me too much. The only thing I can think of as to why I got probation is that I was still in a game lobby and I just powered my xbox off. Even though we were inbetween matches, maybe the game detects it the same as if you dashboarded during a match, I dunno. Or maybe it was because of that and being kicked for friendly fire, which doesn't happen that often for me.

I received a probation warning about 2-3 weeks ago or so when my xbox froze up on me, I still have one of the older 360's, about 5yrs old now, and that happend only once and I got the warning from that, but those are my only two experiences with probation. So maybe I was attributing the warnings and stuff to an xbox freeze and turing it off at the wrong screen, and it could have been from being kicked too much for ff.

You still have an older 360? I got the red ring of death on all 4 of mine even after the July 2007 manufacture date. My newer one is starting to eat my games so the 720 better be here soon lol!
