I don't think the old CCCP flag would be construed as offensive in quite the same way. Perhaps a portrait of a grinning Stalin might be, though.

I see Swastikas every once in a while and report them. The two I saw on Sunday just reminded me of how idiotic and inappropriate some people can be, and I'm not even of that faith.

I was thinking more of the National Bolshevik Flag.  The Hammer & Sickle by itself may have differing opinions I guess for the same reason as I see the Confederates flag from US gameplays.  I think I remember seeing an emblem from MW3 (a game emblem, not player created) of the Hammer & Sickle.  Did think about putting one on my LMGs just as a linguistic joke (i.e. Commie gun) but I'm not doing it to join the goof mob.

Think I'll stick to current or previous regiments and squadrons as I have one in mind.

    Offensive Emblems

Any user who creates an emblem with sexually gratuitous images, racially offensive material or foul language is subject to penalty.

    • Minor offense: User will be temporarily banned from using the Emblem Editor, and all emblems will be reset to default.
    • Extreme or repeat offenses: User will be permanently banned from using the Emblem Editor, and all emblems will be reset to default.

Straight from the Security and Enforcement policy. Not only does your opinion not matter but it is wrong.

People who use emblems like the Swastika, pornographic images, racist images, 9/11 images, or anything else are not mature. They are EXTREMELY immature to think any of them are remotely funny. Yes I will agree that part of growing up is ignoring things that offend you. That is why i report them and just more on. Part of growing up is also following the law or in-game rules in this case.

If you play the campaign, "Cocksucker" is repeated over and over again.

I'm also someone who has researched the WW2 era extensively. I just recently watched a documentary with actual footage from the German's during WW2. It makes you sick to think of the things that happened then. I do have family members and friends who fought in WW2. Even one who stormed the beaches at Normandy so I view swastikas  as extremely offensive.

I don't have to accept it. I have the ability to report it and I will.

It's not about being "sensitive", its about doing the right thing. If nobody says or does anything, its the same as supporting it.

Its not just Swastikas I report. We have a right as a community to not be bombarded with filthy, offensive, immature Emblems. I report them every time. The game says Mature on the box, people should act like it.

Racist, prejudice and pornographic emblems, clan names, clan tags, gamer tags etc should be perma banned; I personally don't tolerate it, even if it isn't directed towards my specific persons its not about being sensitive it's just disrespectful, immature and ignorant. Just because the video game displays some curse words that doesn't give the users/players a free pass to say and do whatever they want.

Oh, I'm not arguing that they are not against the rules. I know they are, and anyone who breaks the rules should suffer the consequences of their actions if caught. no doubt there. However, in my opinion, I am kind of thinking that that rule is only in there as a "cover our asses" kind of thing. I don't see anyone getting banned or suspended for offensive emblems, it's really not enforced at all that I see. The rule is more there as a just in case, so if it ever becomes a serious problem the great lawmakers can go back and say "Well technically, it's against the rules." My problem as a whole are posts like this, that I consider down-right spam. It doesn't have a place here, nor does it deserve to be taking up valuable spots on the post list compared to the other massive problems in this game.

Plain and simple, people need to chill out, live their own life, and let others live theirs. Someone wants to be offensive and racist, let them. The only person it is hurting is them. If reporting people for their emblems help people fell better about the whole situation, then by god do it.

Using this logic, any symbol that represents Christianity must also be banned because it has been the reason for millions upon millions of death.

I know you're referring to the Crusades so if there's glorification of Muslims being slaughtered by Christians then it would probably be deemed as offensive.  I've yet to see an anti-Catholic one based on various paedophile scandals though.  Surprised actually.  People probably lack an imagination to draw the Pope I guess.

The only way to stop it is to remove the ability to create clan tags, emblems, etc. The game is full of idiots wanting to be noticed

Me, too. But I'd rather play than go through the rigmarole of creating a new emblem. Also, I'm particularly crap at making emblems, so my SBS one will just have to wait...
