Update for black ops 2.

I just loged on and turned on my black ops 2 and there was a update for black ops 2 so im downloading it and woundering what it is for.

    Dude, come back on your discussion and let us know how it plays post patch. Play 10 games and come back. I'm at work and I want to know if it seems like it helped. Damn game was back to it's 1 second behind garbage last night for me!

      YES! SMG + Silencer = reduced range!

       

      AR's sway reduced. SMR's headshot multiplier increased?!?! LOL. Head shots with this gun are already easy.

       

      MTAR also buffed...thank you Jesus!

      It's going to play like frap until later in the day when nearly all people in your region has a chance to DL the patch. As of now limited people have it.

    Looks like a copy and paste from the Xbox patch. I didn't see anything different (could be wrong).

     

    I wonder why the audio glitch isn't addressed?

     

    I wonder why the MP glitch isn't addressed?

     

    I wonder why the hard freezes (that still happen) aren't being addressed?

     

    I see they did multiple gun modifications (some of which I have never heard of people wanting).

     

    Why does it seem like the team is only focusing on strange things and not what the community is over all concerned about?

    Thanks for the update.  My PS3 still shuts down during gameplay with a blinking red light.  Its a 120g Fatty.  It is not overheating (I have a secondary fan attachment).  I've taken the PS3 to the shop and the Techs say everything is working fine.  This only happens when I play COD BO2 online.  This needs to be addressed hundreds of thousands of people are having the same issue.  This is very disappointing.

    Is this update a copy paste of Xbox or has anything changed? We know there are numerous problems in PS3 which do not exist in XBOX. Is their any changes just for PS3?

      Game Update Notes: Jan. 26, 2013

       

      New Features & Feature Improvements

        • Added support for Live Streaming in all Public Match playlists.
        • Added League Best from Season 1 to Player Card.
          • If you played in multiple series and/or multiple teams then your highest division and rank will be displayed.  The League Best will span all seasons.  If you finish with a higher division rank in Season 2 then your new League Best will be displayed after Season 2.
        • Added a Cumulative Daily Pool instead of a Weekly Pool in League Play. 200 Rank Points are added to a player’s pool every day. Points that are not used are rolled into the next day.
        • Added 2 new pages to the Combat Record (the Combat Summary and Medals).
        • Implemented sorting of Medals in the After Action Report.
        • Lowered HUD threshold for the "low health" overlay to increase player’s awareness of low health.
        • Added a “Go to Top” button for the League Leaderboard.

      Issues Addressed

        • Matchmaking modified to never return games outside of player’s own continent, unless the Connection Type in Search Preferences is set to “Any”.
        • Addressed an issue where the UAV would not trigger if called in while aiming down sight.
        • Addressed an issue where the Master Demolition challenge did not unlock when the requirements were complete.
        • Addressed issue with the headshot sound not playing in final Killcams and Theater Demos.

      It is not just you. TA is avoiding the situation all together, hell, they won't even admit there is a problem. What does get patched are silly things that people don't even think about. I mean, just last week everyone was complaining about EMP's and they did nothing. Yet, Hardwire gets a buff when I can't even think of one person complaining about it.

       

      THe connectivity and other "hard" problems are probably out of their control. Probably why you hear nothing about them from the developers. If they can't fix it, they don't want people to actually think there is a problem.

       

      Not to mention, most of the gun buffs/nerfs are done on behalf of the developers trusted MLGing and you tube friends. It is not a direct representation of the communities concerns.

      That is a good thing no? That should make lag/compensation better some of the time which is a huge gripe.

       

      It would have been good if they could get to the bottom of:

      Hard Freezes

      Local Resetting

      etc..

      (or at least explain why they are happening and what they are doing)

    Well played 3arc well played. I was hoping a lot more updates for PS3 and all they did was copy paste whatever they did to XBOX

    . I am tired of constantly getting kicked out of party and games for no reason and stay there for minutes seeing "Reconnecting to party" and I thought they would come up with a fix for it by now. No. Just proves they have no intention of giving service to PS3 players. I really expected 3ARC to fix "a lot " of ps3 problems with this patch.

    Played ps3 zombies last night and found a couple,of notable changes.  The tunnel shield glitch has been fixed (thank you), and zombies at the end of the round chasing you will die off if you get out of range and NOT respawn, ending the round.  I was able to drag a zombie alive chasing me from the diner to town via the bridge, so it is possible still to keep one alive.  But it seems you just can't run away with them respawning near you somewhere else anymore.
