LMG Perks

Can you guys give me an idea for an LMG set up for the MG36 an mk46 something for rushing .

Firstly, yourdoingitwrong. Rushing with LMG's is an awful idea that won't help your K/D. If you insist, then I'd say Extreme Conditioning / Quickdraw / Stalker. For those two guns you've mentioned I run Blind Eye / Assassin / Marksman with specialist Stalker / Slight of Hand / Scavanger. LMGs are meant for hanging back from the action and keeping the enemy suppressed. I use them like sniper rifles, pick good lines of sight and hang back from thr action.

i agree no good rushing with a lmg - my usual set up is blind eye, quickdraw and stalker - with asassain, sleight of hand and scavenger on specialist - like the l86 with thermal and silencer works well for cover fire and picking off long shots - found the best set up for a little more agression is rds and grip but you will need quickdraw on for defo to stand a chance - if you get first shot in you generally win due to power of lmg

What Surgeon has said here is bang on.

All I will add is that if you insist on rushing, then try hipfiring with Steady Aim as a 3rd perk as the ADS (lift time) is too slow for rushing against every other weapon group. By the time you have ADSd, you are dead.

Depends how you mean by rushing.  You get the Speed proficiency and I was quite quick with that and you can run Quickdraw and Stalker.  I'd favour the drum fed LMGs as their reload times are quicker.

      Quite right.

Also worth noting that the M60 is a 2 hit kill up close which is often the case when rushing.

True.  I'm only using the M60 to unlock extended magazines, although I'm not sure if I need it but it's for an anti-Osprey/Pave Low class.  It's good to go prone with it when enemies are stupid enough to avenge a death of theirs only to constantly go in front of sights and gift me easy kills.  The iron sights are horrible (much prefer the ones in Black Ops, which are the same as the Enfield and FAMAS IIRC) but at least I've got used to it, helping me go back to other guns that I wouldn't use an iron sight on and can do much better with them since (e.g. M4A1).

Not sure on perk 3 choice myself as I mainly used Specialist with the L86 and I hogged the tier 3 perks - SitRep, Stalker, Marksman and Dead Silence in various combinations.  Since golding it I usually use it when the tough gets going.

Personally I think that the best 3rd perk for LMGs is Marksman because they are a great long range choice, especially as the Silencer has no affect on the power/damage output.

If you are using the M60, along with Specialist as an anti air support gun, then I would say Blind Eye PRO up front and SOHP, Scav Pro, Sitrep Pro in your back pocket.

Love the M4 BTW, great little AR.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll give it a try some time.  May be tomorrow if BO2 doesn't arrive.  Always thought Marksman would be more useful for shorter range weapons, given the size of the maps and lack of long lines of sights available for long distance weapons to prosper.  I'll try and find info on its effective range.  I always use thermal on the L86 with grip so that might have some bearing.

I've taken out plenty of heavy air support since I was last on with the L86 so it looks like the extra power of the M60 may be minimal, especially as I can't stand the damn irons.  I've made Reapers turn into paper planes with the L86 with grip and thermal.  I figure the Pave Low has more damage than the Osprey, if so then I'll expect to have plenty of bullets left in the drum going by the last Pave Low I destroyed.

NO, Marksman > Stalker for LMGs, they are a long range weapon not a rush weapon. For this guy who wants to rush, then maybe you are right.

Great weapon on maps such as Mission, where I get my tent out, LSW with thermal and grip, Blind eye pro, assassin pro, sitrep pro. Bouncing Betty and I'm currently using tactical insertion. With predator, reaper and pave low. Yes I do camp on this map, but if guys just keep running into my sights......

I did the same when I was partied up with three friends.  Started off as the PMC and went prone on the wooden steps that face the house where people snipe from.  Got a silly number of kills and my friends controlled the other areas of the map so I didn't have to worry about being flanked too much, except I ran Quickdraw Pro as the tier 2 perk then and I never bothered using any equipment since I think I had flash and C4.  I'd probably change it to a Trophy System just in case an enemy gets crafty and sends a Pred down to me despite running Blind Eye Pro.

I actually ran out of ammo on this match so I've altered my class to Overkill Pro and use the MK46 with grip and heartbeat noob sensor.  If I had Reaper and Pave Low selected I might have had my first Osprey (excluding care package) but I didn't think of it until the match started.  Annoying thing was is that I probably could have gambled on getting the Pave Low, then activate the Reaper so the enemy team has plenty of anti-air action to do.  One of my friend's runs support and I'll get him to use EMPs if he's fine with it, so in comes the Osprey Gunner.

I picked up the MK46 in a match, it had silencer and grip on it and was beast. Give it a shot with Specialist. You have to hang back a little, but I am a runner, and did pretty well with that setup.

If your going for Osprey, try running hardline with Reaper, AC130, Osprey. All you have to do is get the reaper and you've got Osprey unless your shot down right away I haven't tried Pave Low, but this strategy works very well for me, its extremely easy.

Yeah that was my original plan but sometimes my Reapers get brought down quite quick so it looks like I was a bit late into using the Reaper, since that used to cause havoc when I played this game when it only just came out.  Looks like more people have decided to either run Blind Eye Pro as default or at least have something as a backup class to deal with them.  I'll probably put in a near duplicate class but with Hardline and may be one with Assassin just to see which is more productive over time.
